"I live between places, and I make things there."
I was born somewhere and I have lived nowhere for long. My home is a suitcase, a handful of brushes, a notebook softening at the spine, and the changing light of whatever room I happen to be in.
Soulvici started as a whisper — veni, vidi, vici — three words that a general once wrote to describe conquest. I stole them for something quieter. A soul that arrived. A soul that witnessed. A soul that, in its own small way, overcame.
I make art because I do not know how to sit still, and I do not know how to say goodbye. Every painting is a place I lived in for a while. Every object is a person I miss. Every mark is a way of saying: I was here, and it mattered.
Soulvici is the house I built for those things. It is a design brand — yes, in the way a coat or a piece of luggage is a design object — but it is also, and mostly, an invitation.
Because you have your own veni, vidi, vici. A moment you arrived. A moment you saw clearly. A moment you overcame. I want to hear it. I want to hang it on the wall next to mine.
— Come in. The door is open.
